Hey there! Thanks for making it this far ! My name is Noah Rain Chavira and I’m a 26 year old professional photographer based in Southern California. Now I know what you’re probably thinking… “This guy looks like he still gets ID’d for buying scratch-off lottery tickets. How much experience could he possibly have and does he know what he’s doing ?”… Okay, I’ll admit, I do still get ID’d for buying lottery tickets… but behind this baby face lies 10+ years of experience behind a camera! With 6 out those 10 years being spent apprenticing and being professionally trained by some of the best photographers in Orange County !

Now I’m going to be honest. I’m hoping nobody ever reads this because I’m exceptionally TERRIBLE when it comes to writing about myself and would much rather jump in front of a bus than try to. So here’s me jumping in front of a bus…

Haha, but in all seriousness I’m extremely passionate about what I do. I believe that every moment tells a story waiting to be captured. My journey is not just about taking pictures; it’s about creating lasting memories that resonate with peoples hearts. I thrive on the thrill of capturing emotions, the laughter shared between loved ones, and the beauty of life’s fleeting moments. Siblings: 2 younger brothers. One is about to turn 19 and the other just turned 24.

PHOTOGRAPHY BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

How it started: I was obsessed and excelling at the top of my photography classes in both high school and college. I was even helping my instructors/professors in helping to teach my fellow classmates. Outside of the classroom I was immersing myself into photography even more and expanding my knowledge in the craft however I could. From watching YouTube videos, investing in workshops, and adventuring out in the city with my camera in hand.

How it went: At the age of 18, I was fortunate enough to assist and apprentice under the incredibly talented Edna Eudave, owner of SquarEyePhotography. Edna is an incredibly talented, award-winning, and extensively published wedding photographer based in Orange County. A person I look up to, admire, and strive to be each and every single day. Anything she puts her mind to, wants to try, or learn, she perfects and excels in – I am so blessed and fortunate have been taken under her wing as an apprentice at such a young age. Whilst being mentored by Edna, I was also attending college and underwent even more photography classes. I was assisting another incredibly talented wedding/fashion photographer named Gonzalo Heredia.

How it’s going: I am grateful to say that I’ve gotten to work with so many unique, amazing, and talented individuals throughout my professional lifetime, and am still continuing to do so. I’ve gone from student to assistant, from assistant to second shooter, and from second shooter to associate photographer. Now, after a decade of learning to perfect my craft, apprenticing, and busting my ass.. I decided to create own business and become my own boss.. Here and forever – Noah Rain Photography.

Fun Facts

I have been working in hollywood/ the film industry for 8 years now! I have been fortunate enough to have worked with tons of celebrities, brands, companies, entertainers, athletes, artists, musicians, you name it! I’m a Proud member of the local 80 Film Union and continue to work in the industry to this day !

I’ve gotten to visit and work at some Incredible/iconic locations and on some amazing projects !

From 2016 – 2019 i was working 4 jobs at the same time while also attending college. Now i know that sounds a bit insane.. but i deeply loved and enjoyed everything i was doing and wouldn’t take a single second back. Believe it or not i was also still able to maintain a social life and met some of the most important people in my life through it.

The 4 jobs:

1. Shift lead at the Habit Burger and Grill

2. Assistant/Second Shooter for both Square Eye Photography & Gonzalo Photography

3. Managing a booth at The Los Angeles Coliseum for the USC & Rams football games

(also for concerts such as Air & Style, Dirty bird, Lightning in a bottle, etc)

4. Craft Service in the film industry – TV & Commercials

Fun Facts

Music is a cornerstone of my life. While I don’t play any instruments myself, I’m immersed in music from the second I wake up. I have it constantly playing —whether I’m in the shower, editing, driving, working out, cooking, or just unwinding. If you hit shuffle on my playlist, you’d discover a vibrant mix of hip hop, oldies, reggae, rock, alternative, R&B/soul, jazz, and pop. My passion for music is profound. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll likely find me at a concert, music festival, or simply belting out songs in my car.

I’m a passionate foodie at heart. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me exploring new restaurants, Mom-and-Pop shops, Farmers Markets, and hidden gems with my loved ones. Discovering unique culinary experiences is one of my greatest joys in life. Ask me about my favorite spots, i have a whole list!

Fun Facts

I’ve broken my wrist twice in the same spot—both times while skateboarding. Yet, not even those setbacks could keep me off the board. I fell in love with skateboarding my freshman year of high school and to this day I keep a board in the trunk of my car. Nowadays I use it to get around quickly or just to cruise and unwind.

Fun Facts

I used to be a HUGE sneaker head and snapback collector. Growing up in Florida I would flip/trade sneakers & snapbacks with friends, as well as through some Facebook community groups. I could talk endlessly about Nikes, Mitchell & Ness caps, and Retro Jays.

My mentality about the photographs is they were the element that mattered most for our wedding. Years from now no one will remember the food, the DJ, or other details you spend so much time planning. But wedding photos are an heirloom that are passed through the generations, our grandkids will be able to look at these pictures someday and experience the same love and happiness that we do now.
